Our History
Since our inception, the Pittsburgh Warriors program has grown from a local developmental group into a multi-tiered competitive organization. We participate in four primary annual tournaments: the USA Hockey Warrior Classic, the USA Hockey Warrior National Championship(formerly the USA Hockey Disabled Hockey Festival), the Hendrickson Hockey Foundation Festival, and the Johnstown Veterans Day Tournament.
In addition to national competition, we built a thriving internal competitive ecosystem with the DVHL (Defenders Veteran Hockey League). Launched in 2022, the DVHL provides a high-intensity format that allows our veterans to compete and grow alongside their fellow members.
To date, the program has claimed 15 championship trophies and has sent 22 distinct teams to major tournaments across North America. Every milestone on this timeline represents the dedication and brotherhood of our athletes.
