Disabled Veterans Hockey League

The Pittsburgh Warriors Disabled Veterans Hockey League (DVHL) is an internal recreational league designed for honorably discharged veterans with service-connected disabilities under the motto "Healing Thru Hockey."

Our Mission

To provide an organized venue for disabled veterans by establishing a competitive, fun, safe, and sportsmanlike hockey league where balanced competition and healing matter more than outcomes.

DVHL Philosophy

Attitude first: no checking and no disruptive play.
All skill levels are welcome, from beginners to experienced players.
Skill self-evaluations are used to build balanced teams through draft and cap logic.
Attendance and team reliability are program expectations.
All participants must be Pittsburgh Warriors members.
Current USA Hockey number is required for official qualification windows.
If a veteran needs equipment and has never played, the program provides equipment and training.
Every player gets equal ice time regardless of ability.
